3x5 District of Columbia State Flag For Sale   The Washington D.C. state flag has three red stars, called mullets, above two red bars sitting on a field of white. The flag was crafted after George Washington;s coat of arms.  The flag was designed by Charles A.R. Dunn, a painter for a printing company, who was inspired by the state flag of Maryland which he found beautiful and distinctive. Washington D.C. went many years without an official flag until October 15, 1938 Dunn's flag was officially picked to be the state flag. A red X sits on a white field with the seal of the great state of Florida in the center of the X. The seal features a Seminole Indian woman scattering flowers on a shoreline. With a similar color scheme as the American flag, this flag has 2 red stripes and a white stripe in the middle with a blue canton with the Georgia state coat of arms in gold encompassed by 13 white stars, which represent the original 13 colonies. Georgia's coat of arms symbolizes the states constitution with an arch, the 3 branches of government with pillars guarded by a colonial dressed soldier with his sword raised guarding the states constitution. Wrapped on the pillars are the words "Wisdom, Justice, and Moderation," which is the Georgia state motto. Underneath all these symbols are the words "In God We Trust" which represents the foundation of the state. Under the state seal of Idaho is a red and gold banner with the words "State of Idaho" in gold.  The state seal shows a miner and a woman representing liberty, justice, and equality. Within the seal are symbols representing Idahos natural resources, including mines, forests, farmland, and wildlife as well as a banner which reads "Esto perpetua" which translate to "It is forever." Elks are protected animals in Idaho and an Elks head rises above the shield These images are encircled by a golden circle with the words "Great Seal of the state of Idaho" and a star, representing a new light in the galaxy of the states. The great seal of Illinois features a bald eagle pitched on a rock carrying a shield with its talons with a banner in its beak with the state motto written on it "State Sovereignty, National Union," with the word sovereignty upside down. The shield has 13 stripes and 13 white stars on it representing the original 13 colonies. 3x5 Indiana State Flag For Sale The Indiana state flag was adopted in 1917 and was designed by Paul Hadley who won a contest where he received $100 for his winning design. The states general assembly added the word Indiana in a crescent shape on the flag, which was the only change to the winning design. The flag sits on a field of blue with a golden torch representing liberty and enlightenment with the torches rays representing the far influence the state has. Around the torch are 19 golden stars that indicate Indiana's place in the Union as the 19th state to join. The 19 stars are broken into 13 stars in an outer loop with 6 in its inner loop, one being directly over the torch. 3x5 Michigan State Flag For Sale The state of Michigan has a dark blue flag with Michigan State's coat of arms. The coat of arms has a light blue shield with the sun rising over peninsula and lake with a man holding one arm up representing peace but in his other hand a long gun which represents the fight for the state and nation. The word "Tuebor" is inscribed on the shield which means "I will defend." Two of Michigans great animals, a moose, and elk, support the shield. Over the top of the shield, a bald eagle stands atop. This eagle represents the United States. Above the eagle, a red banner reads "E Pluribus Unum," the motto of the United States of America, which means "Out of many, one." Joining the elk and the moose is a white ribbon which reads "Si Quæris Peninsulam Amœnam Circumspice," which is the official state motto which interprets to "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you." The current Michigan flag was adopted in 1911 and is the third state flag. The first flag featured Michigan's first governor, Stevens T. Mason, on one side and the state coat of arms and "a soldier and a lady" on the other. The first flag is completely lost, and no images of it exist that have been found. Three dates are displayed on the flag; 1858, the year Minnesota joined the union as a state; 1819, the year Fort Snelling was established; and 1893, the year the flag was officially adopted. 19 stars surround the wreath with a larger star at the top representing Minnesota being the 19th state.
