3x5 Alabama State Flag For Sale The Alabama State flag was adopted in 1895. The design is a crimson cross of St. Andrew on a white field.  Speculation says that the crimson cross (saltire) was designed to resemble the blue cross of the Confederate Battle Flag.  Another speculation (less likely according to historian, but possible) is that the flag carried by Co. "F", 7th Alabama Cavalry was the inspiration for the Alabama State flag. The regiment was the only Alabama regiment in Rucker's Brigade. A large blue field representing the sea, the sky, the mountain lakes and Alaskan wildflowers is emblazoned by 8 golden stars. 7 of these stars represent the big dipper and the 8th star represent the northern most state in the union. The 13 rays of red and gold are arranged in a sun shape representing the sunset and Arizona's location in the West. The 13 rays are also representative of the original 13 colonies. The blue bar at the bottom is the same shade of Liberty Blue that is used in the U.S. flag, symbolizing Arizona's place in the Union. The top star representing the Confederate States of American while the other 3 stars represent the other countries that had ruled over Arkansas previously, Spain, France and the United States. 3x5 California State Flag For Sale   The California State flag is inspired by the Historic Bear flag raised by American settlers at Sonoma in 1846 in revolt to Mexican rule. Designed by William Todd on unbleached cotton, it features a star imitating the lone star of Texas and a grizzly bear, which were common at the time in California. 3x5 Colorado State Flag For Sale The Colorado State Flag has 3 equal width horizontal stripes. The color of the top and bottom stripes are blue while the center stripe is white. A Circular red letter C sits on top of the stripes with a golden disk, representing the Spanish Flag. The blue represents the skies of Colorado, the white represents the snow covered mountains, the ruddy earth is represented by the color red while the yellow disk shows off the sunshine enjoyed across the state of Colorado. Interestingly the red and blue on the flag are to be the same exact color red and blue as represented on the flag of the United States of America.   The flag was designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson[2] in 1911 and adopted by the Colorado General Assembly on June 5 of the same year. However, the legislature did not specify the size of the "C" or the exact shade of blue or red. Thus, some flags were in slightly different colors and had the "C" wholly within the center stripe. On February 28, 1929, the General Assembly added to the description of the flag that the blue and red would be the same color as the flag of the United States. 3x5 Connecticut State Flag For Sale The Connecticut State flag is Azure Blue with a white baroque shield on top of it. There are three grapevines on the shield, each with three bunches of purple grapes. Below the shield is a banner with the Connecticut state motto which reads "Qui Transtulit Sustinet," which is translated to "He who transplanted still sustains." The flag was inspired by the seal of Saybrook Colony, which the state of Connecticut bought in 1644. This seal transferred to Connecticut and they reduced the 15 grapevines down to 3 grapevines. 3x5 Delaware State Flag For Sale   The Delaware State flag sits on a field of Colonial Blue with a buff-colored diamond on top of the field. WIthin the diamond sits the state of Delaware coat of arms, which consists of a shield with green, blue, and white stripes with a sheaf of wheat, an ox, and an ear of corn, representing the agriculture of Delaware. THe shield is supported by a farmer on the left and a soldier on the right, while a sailing ship sails above. A banner waves from the heels of the farmer and soldier which reads "Liberty and Independence," which is also the state motto. Below the diamond reads "December 7, 1787" which declares the day the first state ratified the United States Constitution, which was the state of Delaware.
